A few examples of some of my favorite locations at the gardens
High Point Overlook
This are has a lot of photos opportunities all packed into one smaller area. Ample parking, easy walking, & the ability to climb on the rocks to get a view of pikes peak as well as the formations in the distance.
Three Graces &
Surrounding Areas
This location is perfect if you want to be surrounded by the tall rock formations. It is one of the busier spots but people are typically respectful; and of course I always edit out any photo bombers. Not as much parking but with a bit of carpooling and/or a designated driver we can easily get into the area.
Keyhole Window
Rock Formation
This location is a bit of a hike but one of the highest points (you can walk on) within the Gardens. It’s slightly limited as far as what formations are up there as there’s really only one, but if you’re up for a bit of adventure it’s well worth the walk.
Balanced Rock
This is one of the busiest locations in my opinion as tourists from all over come to see this. It’s directly off the road and everybody is there for one reason, the photo. That being said people are super respectful not to ruin any photos and can be great for a quick stop to capture this fun natural formation.
